The private aid and obtaining funds for NGOs are stable and even increased in 2009 despite the crisis. We also note that people are more and more involved in volunteerings. Indeed, the reputation of NGO is sound to: a recent study by the League of NGO for development cooperation has revealed that 86% of Spaniards were convinced of the efficiency and capacity of these associations to improve their beneficiaries' lives.

MicroNGOs’ Forum

We were in the FORUM DE MicroONGs (MicroNGOs’ Forum)

The forum was held in the Juan Carlos I Hotel in Barcelona, the 27th, 28th and 29th of November. 50 people assisted full of heart, projects and realities.

Wikihappiness, a non-profit organization dedicated to promote solidary attitudes, was in charge of coordinating and organizing the event, and they did so with the discretion and prudence characteristic in them. The First MicroNGOs’ Forum was a success, and we, in iWith.org, are very happy to be a part of the birth of this initiative.

Asia and our green future

Many european and asian countries are moving forward to new energy models which allow the sustainable development of their economies.

This process is nor eary neither immediate and means high expenditures. However, these expenditures are even less than the price we would have to pay if we didn’t act on time. Late last night, with the sounds of Burruezo and Bohemia Camerata, we participated in the closing of the Global Eco-Forum in Barcelona.

Under the slogan The Transition Towards Sustainability, the Forum has united the great names of European environmental protection such as Cristina Narbona, Spanish ambassador of OCDE, Dominique Voynet, one of the founders of the Green Party in France, and Dimitri Zenghelis from the Office of Climatic Change in the United Kingdom.
